Stocks and Shares ISA
A UK account where investments grow completely free of income tax and capital gains tax.
You can invest up to £20,000 per tax year in a Stocks and Shares ISA. Any growth, dividends, or returns are tax-free. Halal ETFs, screened stocks, and sukuk funds can all be held inside an ISA.
Example
Ahmed invests £200/month into a halal ETF inside his Stocks and Shares ISA. Over 20 years, if his investment grows to £100,000, he owes no capital gains tax on the £52,000 gain. Outside an ISA, he would owe up to 18-24% of that.
